take off

脱去(衣物)
He took off his wet shoes. 他脱掉打湿了的鞋子。
He took off his hat and bowed politely as he passed. 当他经过时他脱掉帽子并且很有礼貌鞠了一躬。

(飞机)起飞
The pilot took off smoothly. 飞行员平稳地驾机起飞了。
A helicopter is able to take off and land straight up or down. 直升飞机能垂直起飞和降落。

休假; 匆忙向车站跑去
When he saw the police coming he took off in the opposite direction. 他一看见警察来了，转身就溜了。

同义词 : put off

take off 也是雅思考试中的常客了，尤其是只 " 飞机起飞 " 这个意思喔!
